Let's ensure all people feel worthy regardless of need for mental health support.
Let's bring empathy and kindness into our workplaces. HOW?
HELP US AMPLIFY OUR COLLECTIVE VOICE BY SIGNING OUR "WE ARE ALL WORTHY" CHANGE.ORG PETITION. TOGETHER, LET'S SEND A LOUD MESSAGE WE WANT An INCLUSIVE world WHERE EVERYONE is SEEN and HEARD. WHERE EVERYONE FEELs WORTHY.

The most painful event in someone’s life: onset of a mental health disorder (please read serious brain disorder) that leads to a level of stigmatization that makes you feel alienated and isolated from the rest of mankind. That leaves you feeling unworthy.

We are all members of one race, the human race. And, we all deserve to feel worthy of love and belonging.

Unfortunately due to stigma in our workplaces, those with a serious brain disorder feel neither. Some of us are fired when we disclose our condition. Others don’t speak up because of stigma. And, we don’t reach out for support but suffer in silence and in shame.

And, for those that courageously do reach out for help, it’s often not there, leaving us feeling both uncared for and unsupported.

STIGMATIZED. UNSUPPORTED. FIRED. LEFT FEELING UNWORTHY.

Whether you have a colleague, friend, family member or you yourself are plagued with a mental health condition you know how painful the journey is to get the support and respect you deserve.

Today 1 in 7 people are experiencing mental health problems in their place of work yet, according to a recent survey, almost three-quarters (74%) of employers have not invested in their mental health needs since the onset of the pandemic. Not surprisingly, 68% of Millennials and 81% of Gen Zers left roles voluntarily & involuntarily for mental health reasons last year compared with 50% in 2019. Furthermore, over 40% have lost their jobs due to lack of support and workplace stigmatization.

It’s time we stand together and say “No more!”

Your signature on our petition means that you say “no more.” You are standing up to the injustice of workplace stigmatization of mental health conditions. No more to a lack of empathy and kindness. And, no more to the lack of needed mental health programs and supports in our workplaces.

Let us stand together and ensure we create the world we deserve. A future we would be proud to have our children grow up in.

Join us and others and send a clear and loud message we have had enough. We want an inclusive world where everyone feels worthy.

how can YOU help? 6 SIMPLE CALLS TO ACTION YOU CAN TAKE. YOU GET TO DECIDE WHAT TYPE OF WORLD YOU WANT TO LIVE IN. what type of world you want your children to grow up in.

wHY WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT NOW MORE THAN EVER

It was once thought that when someone disclosed a mental health condition, he/she was possessed, and in need of religious sanction. That understanding evolved over time – but slowly and painfully – affecting a massive amount of people and even subjecting them to inhumane forms of treatment.

Fast forward to 2021.

We are still struggling to gain the respect and necessary support throughout the globe.

Our Founder at Accelerating Social Good, Kerry Martin, is the leader of this revolution. She envisions a world where we all feel worthy.

A future where we no longer have to fear talking about our mental health conditions and feel supported by this loving and supportive ecosystem we are trying to create. A future where our workplaces are built on a foundation of empathy and kindness, with needed mental health programs and supports in place for us all.

She envisions us standing united to ensure that no one ever has to feel alone, scared or isolated from the rest of mankind and can finally feel safe. Safe in our workplaces.

It’s time we stand together and say “No more!” We have had enough of the lack of empathy. We have had enough of the lack of kindness.

Let us stand together and ensure we create the world we deserve. A future we would be proud to have our children grow up in.

Your signature means that you too say “no more” and stand up to the injustice of workplace stigmatization of mental health conditions.

You stand up for a lack of empathy and kindness in our workplaces.

You begin a revolution that will empower people to create an informed, empowered and inclusive world for those who feel alienated from mankind.

HELP BUILD A WORLD WHERE WE ALL FEEL WORTHY of love and belonging

If you are currently employed at a company you know how hard it is when something is bothering you to discuss it with your leadership team.

In fear that you may be dismissed for something that is out of your control. You would only hope for your leadership to understand through supportive conversation, not dismissal.

Imagine one day if you develop anxiety, depression or any other mental health disorder, who will you turn to if your company doesn’t support you in the way you need?

We all need help at some point in our lives. Imagine losing your parent or child, and needing support?

You shouldn’t have to live in fear everyday that the support will not be there when you need it most.

Rather you should live in peace, knowing that your workplace has adopted a corporate wellness plan and become informed about mental health and has a supportive environment for us all. And that when you go to work, you can expect empathy and kindness.

You could rest easy knowing you had a safe space to experience one of the most challenging times in your life.

You decide what kind of world you want to live in.

A world where we all feel worthy.

Please sign our petition now. Let's start a revolution and take our world back.

With empathy and with gratitude.

OUR FOUNDER'S PERSONAL STORY FOR STARTING OUR GLOBAL SOCIAL-JUSTICE ADVOCACY MOVEMENT:
DEAR CORPORATE AMERICA, YOUR LACK OF EMPATHY IS MAKING IT HARD FOR ME TO STAY ALIVE, LITERALLY

"If I didn't leave my job, I was going to die. In fact, I almost did. I'm not alone.

Sixty-eight percent of millennials and 81% of Gen Zers left role voluntarily or involuntarily for mental health reasons this year (Harvard Business Review, 2021).

After I got laid off because I couldn't work because of a severe bipolar depressive episode, I continued to spiral down into a deeper, darker and lonelier black hole.

And I tried to take my own life.

Because of mental health stigma, a lack of empathy in my workplace, being pushed into mania with inhumane work hours and then a subsequent depression
— they call it bipolar for a reason — in a setting with no mental health programs or supports in place, Corporate America almost killed me. Almost.

I'm not asking for an apology or for pity.

Rather, I'm asking you to please read my personal journey, the why behind this global social-change advocacy campaign petitioning for stigma-free workplaces,
published in AwareNow by AwarenessTies in partnership with ISSUU.

And, that you do so with an open mind, compassionate soul and empathic heart.

With gratitude and with hope for us all." ~ Kerry Martin, Founder & Suicide Survivor Living with a Bipolar Diagnosis, Now a Mental Health Activist Building a World Where We All Can Feel Worthy
