Her calling centers on using what she has learnt in her journey, sometimes the hard way, as a means of serving others. Her work has garnered international recognition and won awards.
She is a driven, talented, hands-on professional with experience generating attractive and effective corporate projects for all media channels. In her self-owned design studio, she learnt how to work in fast-moving entrepreneurial environments, gaining profitable insights into her craft, while delivering results for her clients. Most recently, Lucia spread the hope and love of Hope Xchange, a nonprofit dedicated to saving and improving lives in the bipolar community, through her social media, strategic marketing and website design service. Hope Xchange's mission deeply resonated with her own personal history with suicide and bipolar disorder.
Despite her brain disorder and her occasional fears and self-hatred, she has found ways to keep going, to stay and to fight. She now wants to do everything in her power to help those who feel they cannot pull through to find the strength within themselves to do so as well as the means to continue to fight back and to shine. Born in Colombia in 1987, Lucia has a Masters Degree in Media Art and Design from the Bauhaus University of Weimar in Germany. She also holds a Bachelors in Industrial Design from the University of the Andes in Bogota, Colombia. Award-Winning suicide prevention psa"Don't Give Up" PSA, honored with Best Music Video by Golden Earth Film Award and Finalist at the International Awards for Music Video Animation, inspires hope in our ongoing efforts to prevent suicide. The intention is to motivate people to never give up, to let them know that they are not alone and that help is available. Working with video collage techniques to convey gorgeous timing, fluidity of motions, and expressiveness using color transformation and creative storytelling, Lucia's composition took the shape of a dance between selves represented by abstract shapes and hand gestures.
